* When using the Restylane Treatment Plan for the treatment of nasolabial folds with Restylane injectable gel, at least 94% of patients who completed a long term clinical study maintained results from 18–36 months from initial treatment when they had a follow-up treatment at 4.5 months of 9 months and 18 months. (75 patients enrolled in the study—63 were evaluated at month 18; 52 were evaluated at month 24; and 27 were evaluated at month 36). The maintenance of results using Restylane-L, Restylane Fine Lines, Restylane Fine Lines-L, Perlane, and Perlane-L injectable gels has not been studied.

How is the treatment performed?

After your consultation and treatment plan discussion, the doctor will place Restylane injectable gel directly under your skin using a fine needle. You will see instant results as Restylane replaces lost volume to fill and lift the desired area.

What are some of the common side effects?

What should I tell my doctor before having treatment with a product from the Restylane family?

You should tell your doctor if you have previously suffered from bad allergies, particularly to certain microorganisms known as gram-positive bacteria, or by people with previous bad allergies to drugs that have required in-hospital treatment.

These products should not be used by people with bleeding disorders. Injections should not be made anywhere except the skin or just under the skin. Restylane-L and Perlane-L should not be used by people with a known allergy to lidocaine. If you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or under 18 years of age, you should not use products in the Restylane family. Talk to your doctor about whether treatment with the Restylane family of products is right for you, as it is not for everyone.
